First of all, this shoot was at my secret location. This spot makes everything look beautiful. Lauren doesn't require a beautiful background though. She is quite photogenic. These photos are a combination of my wife and I shooting. We were able to capture a lot and had a fun adventure as well.
Getting back to this spot is not the easiest thing in the world. There are about three miles of dirt road. It's not that big of a deal until you reach the soft sand and you drive an Avalon. We drove back there like we were in an SUV though. We started getting set up and taking pictures when I got a call from Lauren's mom, Stacy. She was lost so I drove to the entrance and found her on the wrong side of the creek. I had her turn around, meet me on the other side, and follow me back down the three mile dirt road. My wife was already taking pictures of Lauren in her nursing outfit when Stacy and I arrived. They felt a little rushed but I told them not to worry because we were waiting on the good light. By good light, I mean the golden hour. We got some amazing sunset photos and started packing up to head back. As we were driving we saw that the gate at the entrance was already locked up. It wasn't a big problem because there is a number on the gate to call someone to unlock it but Stacy was not prepared to have to wait to get out. It didn't take long and we drove out with another great photography shoot in the books.
